A national conference sponsored by the Institute for Children and Poverty with the Academy of Political Science

At this two day event, expert researchers, policymakers, and practitioners from a broad spectrum of professions came together to explore the issues facing children and families experiencing poverty and to propose solutions needed to end homelessness nation-wide.

• A keynote address by Dainette M. Mintz, Deputy Managing Director for Special Needs Housing and Director, Office of Supporting Housing for the City of Philadelphia
• A plenary speech by Dr. Ralph da Costa Nunez, President and CEO of the Institute for Children and Poverty, and Homes for the Homeless
• A tour of five Philadelphia homeless shelters, including ICP's local conference partner, The People's Emergency Center, which provides comprehensive supportive services to homeless women and their children.
